Buses/Trams
These provide a good and cheap way to travel around the city. You can purchase tickets at a price of just 50 kopecks (UAH 0.5) from a controller on the trolley or bus. Monthly and 10-days passes are also available.
There are private minibuses serving the same routes, however their fares is a little bit higher than those charged by the public transport.
Metro
Kyiv's metro is efficient, safe, and inexpensive. You can buy a token for just 50 kopecks from any metro station and have a fast ride to almost any part of the city.

The climate is mainly moderate continental. The average temperatures are:

Hrivnya, the national monetary unit of Ukraine, comes in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 bills; there are also coins: 1, 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 copecks, and 1 UAH. Foreign currency (US dollars and Euro being the most widespread inside the country) may be exchanged for Hrivnyas in bank offices and exchange outlets. The majority of local hotels, restaurants and shops will gladly accept payments with credit cards.
